I feel your pain and I could have written this exact post today myself. Have doctor appt this afternoon. I have a UTI or something so I gotta go...but I don't want to go and certainly don't want to get anywhere near those scales.😲  LOL!

Keep in mind, we are weighed with our clothes on that can add 5+ pounds.  Don't wear heavy boots.  Make sure you take your coat off.

Don't eat or drink anything before your appointment.  It all adds weight.

I use a medical scale and always weigh myself first thing in the morning after tinkling with no clothes on.  That's your weight except for those holding water.  I always do that before doctor's appts, then tell the medical assistant their scales are wrong when they weigh more because of my clothing.  Lol.

Weight isn't too bad, but the dread of taking my blood pressure is awful.  I have terrible white coat syndrome.  I take it daily for the week before so they can see what it really is.

I dread it too!!!  I guess I should be happy that my worst concern is getting on the scale.  Yes, it is the thing that stresses me out the most about going to the doctor.

Just tell them you prefer to not get weighed and keep walking.  They can't MAKE YOU get on the scale.

I've been told by my PA the only time she insists on weighing me is when a complete physical is done.  Other times, it's my decision.

Imagine my horror when after my appointment the summary sheets of paper they gave me grossly over estimated my BMI.  My height was listed at 5'. They forgot to enter the other 5 inches...........😳😳😳😳😳😳😩😩😩😩😩

I made sure that was corrected before I would leave!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
