Re: Down to my last square of Lessman Chocolate!

@Teddie I agree with @Laura14 . It depends upon what your diet normally is. I tend to eat a lot of chocolate (ice cream, etc), love pizza, and most things that should not be eaten other than in moderation. I go on binges.

So when my doctor saw my numbers go down (I didn't tell him I had stopped the statins and started ChocoNuvo until I knew what my numbers were), he said perhaps I didn't need as much of the statins as he prescribed. That's when I told him I hadn't been taken the medication for several months and the lower numbers were due entirely to the CN. He was surprised, but told me to continue doing what I was doing because it was working. And I showed him the ingredients of the CN. He said everything in it was good and didn't contain anything he felt was adverse.

FYI.........this is a replicate of a chart Andrew showed a couple of years ago, comparing the amount of sugar in ChocoNuvo to sugar in fruits and vegetables. Very interesting. And I eat a LOT of grapes! YIKES!

Ever since I came off sugar, I can't eat grapes.  Raisins get me too.  Too sugary so I am glad I found CN thanks to @World Traveler

@World Traveler

@Laura14

I have always loved fruit of any kind, but, I learned long ago that the sugar content was killing me.

When I cut out almost all sweets, I was still eating fruit.  Finally, it dawned on me that the fruit, although good for me, was not doing me any favors.

If I have any, I try to limit it to a small piece or berries, but I cannot eat it with abandon anymore.

I think that is why I enjoy the AL chocolate so much.  I have limited myself to 1 or 2 pieces a day, but it just satisfies my desire for sweets...at least, most days Cat LOL

Over Thanksgiving, I will normally have some pumpkin pie at some point, but that's about it.

For me, getting old is bad enough...I don't want to be overweight AND old!  And, both of my parents, although not overweight, were diabetic, so that adds to my concern about eating a healthy diet.

Re: Down to my last square of Lessman Chocolate!

I too ran out but to perfectly honest I have gotten over withdrawals and lost a pound. So despite the calorie chart that I just saw, I was putting on weight from eating it every single day and some days ate 5 pieces.  I loved it and would have eaten much more and it was a struggle to tell myself no. Now that I no longer miss it, I don't want to go through that again.

Plant sterols have been touted as an effective way to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. However, a research study has uncovered that these compounds do have their own risks, as they can accumulate in heart valves and lead to stenosis.Jul 16, 2008.  Sciencedaily.

Trader Joe's Stevia sweetened dark chocolate is BLISS, but I happen to be a milk chocolate fan. Trader Joe's MILK chocolate is great too!

DH and I also take cacao capsules every day at lunch.

If it's chocolate, I BELIEVE!

Thank you to everyone that has posted on this thread. I am very interested in this product and am thinking of trying it for the first time.  I have made many adjustments to my diet but my last yearly blood test showed an elevated cholesterol. 😩🤷‍♀️😩🤷‍♀️😩🤷‍♀️
