vtjane, thank you so much for your reply. I am hoping I don't have to get the injections because I have heard they are very expensive and my co-pay may be high. I will know more in about one month.

Did you have any side effects that worried you?

Ok, I thought maybe that was it since that is the main use for Xolair. It works by suppressing the body's immune response.

I have not had noticeable side effects from the Xolair. I do have patient assistance with the shots as they are very expensive. Ask your doctor's office about the patient assistance program available through the Macaluso Group. The patient assistance is not income-based so most people would qualify.

If I have to start taking Xolair, I will ask my dr. to check into the "Macaluso Group." That's good to know.
