Does anyone own and use the Fluidity Bar?

I took ballet lessons for many years and I understand the philosophy of the bar, so I'm always intrigues and tempted to purchase when I see the presentations.

I've read the reviews on HSN and would also like some input please from fellow posters who are currently using it. My only hesitation for now is that in the event that I may need to return it, the shipping is soooo expensive.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

It's like everything else, it works if you use it. Fluidity is based on ballet dnd Callanetics which you can the DVD and do at home

Thanks lousgirg84!

I understand the principles and agree with what you said. Smiley Happy

Do you have the bar and use it? That was where I was trying to go with it.

I have one and never use it, but that's because I just don't enjoy barre workouts. However, if you already know you enjoy barre, the Fluidity Bar itself is really an excellent piece of equipment. It is very sturdy and easy to maneuver around. You can change the height of the barre with a couple of clicks. So, if you already know you like that piece of equipment, it's a good one to get.

The workouts themselves are okay; there's four of them in the initial package, if I recall correctly. (Seat & Thigh was always my fave.) However, there's lots of barre workouts out there if you know where to look. (Try totalfitnessdvds.com - Collage Video used to be a good source but they are going out of business.)

Thanks so much! Your response is very informative and helps to answer my questions.

Height adjustment is definitely a concern for me because I'm 5'9" without shoes. There are times when I wear my sneakers to do these exercises, which increases my height a bit. Right now I'm using the stability bar that's attached to my treadmill and although it's a good height for most of what I want to do, it's not adjustable, so it's limiting.

Stability is another issue. We thought of installing a bar in our home, however, all of our walls are plaster so that's a no go for sure!

Thanks again glitzandglam!

Sure thing. Smiley Happy It's too bad you don't live near me; I'm probably going to list mine on Craigslist (a little dusty but practically new). It's just taking up space here, sigh.

And it IS super sturdy, so I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck!

@magemay. I do not have the Fluidity Bar but have used Callanetics for years.

Funny you mentioned Craisglist! I checked just last week and the closest one for sale is about a 50 min. drive from here, which isn't too bad really, considering it would be quite a savings compared to purchasing it from HSN.

Thanks again for your help Smiley Happy

Re: Does anyone own and use the Fluidity Bar?

Have one. LOVE IT. It is very well made and easy to adjust. It is solid. I like a piece of equipment that challenges me when I want to move it around. The DVDs that came with it are pretty good. I wanted to do more, though, so I got on Amazon and bought a small collection of different workouts. Tracey Mallet and Cathe Friedrich are my favorites.

Re: Does anyone own and use the Fluidity Bar?

i also was thinking about buying the fluidity bar but i don't have much room for it

now my question i have is i have a aeropilates machine and i just found out that you can add a ballet bar to it. Would that be the same benefit you would get out of the fluidity bar so i don't have to buy two fitness equipment i would have it all in one. So if someone can answer this for me that would be great thank you.
