Does Versed work for you?

I have had two cataract surgeries two weeks apart. I was nowhere in a relaxed state for the first one, then they upped the dose for the second one. Still didn't do much. My doc said it doesn't work for everyone or that some patients have a delayed reaction. Has this been your experience?
