I've been using it for almost two years.

Have used it for several years. If it bothers u , keep it in the fridge. That seems to help, according to my friend. It stings a little sometimes but not that big a deal considering the relief from the dryness. Keep trying and good luck. U get used to it

I was given a free sample bottle by my eye doctor along with a prescription a few years ago.
It burned my eyes and turned them bright red. It wasn’t for me. If My eyes feel dry I prefer to use Refresh Optive.

@lolakimonowrote:I've been using it for almost two years.
I used it several years ago and I had no problems. with but it was very expensive. I use Thera Tears recommended by my eye Dr. I have bad allergies and the allergy meds dry my eyes up. Thera tears work well and they almost always have a coupon. Good Luck.

I typed Restasis in the search box and many threads appeared. Some are older but may offer helpful suggestions for you as well. I hope your eyes feel better.

I used it for a year; it always burned no matter what I tried.
After a year Ophthalmologist saw no improvement, so we agreed I would cease.
Hope you have better results.

Not to hijack, but just in case anyone is looking for an alternative to eye drops, when my rheumatologist suggested I should take more omega-3 capsules (for various reasons, as I expect we are all aware), I also found that my dry eyes were relieved. No more itching or tearing. He hadn't mentioned thaat would be a benefit! I notice if more than a day goes by when I forget.
(Of course, none of this is meant to counteract whatever your own doctors say.)
He recommended Now(r) Super Omega capsules, of which he said to take 8 per day. (There's also an Ultra Omega that has coated capsules to help prevent reflux and fish odor, if that's a concern. It has a higher EPA factor, so you may need fewer.) Both are soft gels, so easy to swallow.
If 8 per day sounds like too much all at once, then work up to whatever amount helps. It took only a couple of days for me to notice the difference. I'm not pushing this supplement other than as a suggestion.
