Doctors

Has anyone sued their doctor for malpractice and won the case, or how do doctors get punished for bad care of a patient? I have had a terrible experience with treatment from a doctor for my eyes. Now I have to live with it for the rest of my life. Actually, there are 3 doctors involved, and I trusted them. Any help from you knowlegible ladies on this board would be appreciated. Thank you.
