What lockdown???? Covid lockdowns ended in in 2020. We were only in lockdown for 6 months or so in 2020.

No one here is behind schedule. It took the VA a little longer to get back on a normal track, but once they did, my husband was able to get in all of his appts, and is staying up to date now.

We haven't let anything about Covid change our way of life unless it was something imposed on us that we had no control over - lockdown, restricted shopping, masks, etc. We've made all our doctor appointments. Both DH and I are UTD on our colonoscopies.

I did not want to walk into a Dr office for the past 2 years. Not for fear of COVID, I just hate dealing with masks and other COVID protocols. I did finally make that appointment and had my physical 2 weeks ago, mammogram will be tomorrow, waiting for colonoscopy to be scheduled.

I go to dentist, ENT and opthamologist for teeth, ears and eyes, and I've done all those throughout the lockdown.
I only go to "regular doctors" when I'm sick. I don't do preventive/screenings.
(My "regular doc" advised me to avoid doctors unless I'm sick or in pain.)

You never had a mammogram or colonoscopy or other type of test? It's your choice, but just was wondering if you never had any of these done or if this is something you recently changed your mind about?

I have to say that reading this surprised me. Can't imagine any GP/PCP telling their patient not to see other doctors. Unless they are "sick or in pain".
Makes no sense to me since there are many asymptomatic and silent diseases that kill hundreds, if not more, people every day.
GP doctors know about a lot of different diseases and other types of medical needs, but! Even specialists in their fields do screenings before doing invasive procedures.
Sure hope there are not many GP or PCP doctors that advise their patients to stay away from other doctors "unless sick or in pain". Any doctor that would give me such advise? He would be answering to a Medical Board, or whomever oversees a Primary Doctor's License to practice.

You go to your Opthamologist for your teeth???? LOLOLOL I know what you meant but that cracked me up. I have no GP. I got sick of them pushing stuff down my throat. I have a friend that works in billing and she said the reason they do that is because when you sign up with a specific Dr. They pay that Dr. a certain amount for the year. They are given a list of things to do such as immunizations, and preventative testing. I dropped my GP. I have been diagnosed wrong tooooo many times and now I only see specialists.

With 2 doctors in my immediate family, and 2 very close friends that are specialists in their field! This is a bunch of "who shot john nonsense".
So this is only GP doctors that practice this way? Since you say "now I only see specialists", it leads me to conclude the above.
