My husband is constantly asking, "How did you get that terrible bruise?", as if I have any idea. Like many of you have said, all I need to do is bump lightly against something and I bruise. I once had a doctor question me in depth about one of them. I finally realized he was concerned that my husband had done it to me. I think the fact that I have light skin and hair has something to do with it.

My mom has been on a low dose of prednisone for the last three years.  She's almost 91.  Her bruises are absolutely awful. She wears long sleeves all the time because she "doesn't want to scare people".  I purchased sleeves for her, which are like what you'd wear pruning roses.  She doesn't like to wear them, but it helps.
