After two neurosurgeries three days apart, the ICU nurses had me rinse out my nostrils with salt water twice a day. Once in the mornings to wash out any allergens or bacteria I had breathed in during the night and once at night to rinse away anything I had breathed in during the day. It helped so much that I still do it during allergy season any time I begin to feel congested. It would be a good idea now with the viruses seeming to be everywhere. Wash your hands, and wash your nostrils!
Would using saline nasal spray be the same?
