Do non-custom orthotics need to be replaced occasionally?

I forgot to ask at my podiatrist appointment if the arch support breaks down and/or need to be replaced?

@SKJCPA, I have custom orthotics that I have had less than a year; but, my podiatrist said that he will check them once a year to see if any adjustments need to be made.  I guess that non-custom would need to be replaced after some time.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
