Re: Do You Take Vitamins for ENERGY?

UPDATE:

I STOPPED taking all my supplements and feel 1000% better.  This was totally unintentional (I'd just been too busy to take them), but it worked.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Have you ever taken vitamins for excess sleepiness?

Did they give you more energy?

If so, what brand did you take.

I've been taking B12, but it does nothing.

Energy? No! When I was deficient in Vitamin D during my bout with Cellulitis, I needed it, but energy? No. The only thing that gives my body more energy is better physical fitness, coupled with giving it the right fuel(food).

I have had 6 Sleep Studies, none of which were done because I could not sleep. I have gone days without sleep on many occasions, but other than being sleepy, it did not effect my energy levels if I was very physically fit.

Never believed, unless a person is deficient, that any vitamin/pill/drink, or food will give me energy. Caffeine does get my blood moving faster, which in turn warms it, and my muscles sooner. Warm muscle function better and make all movements easier. Notice the stiffness and some lethargy when waking up? Unused and cold blood and body tissues, which makes every physical movement much harder.

I get a B-12 shot every month, but that is because of my massive blood loss with my bleeding colon/130+ blood transfusions, and 30+ Iron Infusions. Throw in years with Anemia, and that is my reason for that Vitamin Supplementation.

I was so deficient ,they actually did help give me a boost ,so I felt a bit better

I am very low on a couple of vitamins, and unless you are too, I don't know it will make you feel energetic

Re: Do You Take Vitamins for ENERGY?

Taking vitamins for "energy" is a waste of money.  Eating a well-balanced food plan is what will fuel your body with energy.

If you take vitamins to "fuel" your brain, for instance, you're going to have big problems.  There isn't one vitamin that can provide what the brain requires for energy.

How are vitamins used in mitochondria, which is each cell's power house, to create energy?  That is, vitamins in their purest form.....................
