You said this helps you with your digesting food.  You take 3 after each meal??

Yes, three after a meal.

I've tried many digestive enzymes over the years, and like this version the best.  They are also reasonably priced, compared to others I've seen and tried.  I used to buy them at Whole Foods, but now I get them on Ebay from whomever has the best price.

If you try them, let me know what you think.

Look into Betaine Hydrochloride for gas issues.

Re: Digestive Enzymes - Does anyone takes these?

I now take Enzymedica Digest Gold. Not cheap but excellent quality. I used to take Vitamin Shoppe brand that they no longer make. I have had my gallbladder out and need help with digesting fats (Lipase). So I chose a brand that has a lot of lipase. I am also allergic to milk/dairy, wheat, eggs and peanuts and I read labels. I get stomach pain if I eat a meal without taking Digest Gold. I've tried other brands and they are so so. The thing is, one has to try various brands until you find one that works great for you. You'll know it works because stomach pain after eating goes away or you feel like food digests quicker, better, whatever. We supposedly lose our stomach enzymes as we age. And if we are on reflux medications or GERD medications, the lack of acid is supposed to also reduce our stomach's ability to digest. The enzymes are supposed to help digestion and thus absorbtion of nutrients.

Gas and bloating can be signs of other issues. Some people don't digest sugar well (fruits, carrots, etc.). A good probiotic might help that issue but I also find they make me pass gas at times. If you have been on antibiotics recently, and that is subjective amount of time, they tend to kill the good bacteria in one's gut. Probiotics can add them back in. So can butyrate or butric acid which builds the lining of the intestine.

Detachment isn't the absence of love but the ability to take care of yourself in the midst of someone else's choices.
