I have been doing some research regarding digestive enzymes as I have a lot of digestive issues. I feel that a lot of my issues may stem from eating raw fruits and veges which I love and eat to be healthy and regular. However, doing so causes me to have a lot of issues with gas (dare I say it??). I have tried Beano and GasX and other products and they do not really seem to help. I do have IBS and GERD and take medication for these things and have recently had both an endo and colonoscopy. I also have a hiatal hernia. I found this one product - which seems to primarily state that it is helpful with consumption of vegetables which I feel is one of the sources of my greatest issues. The product is called Enzymedica Veggiegest Enzyme capsules and the price is $30.00 for 90 capsules.
If anyone has taken any digestive enzymes, could you please post and say which one and how it has helped you? And also if you have any knowledge, or have taken the one which I have listed.
Thank you so much.

It wasn't the fruit & veggies that bothered me. It was all forms of dairy. Not only do I need to eliminate all milk, yogurt, sour cream, & cheese, but I have to read food labels to make sure there isn't any sneaky dairy, such as casein. Since I got off dairy four years ago, I have no more stomach cramps or bloating. I have Rosacea & that's also been in remission since I eliminated dairy from my diet.

I think if you eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, it helps to eat the vegetables well cooked. They can be really hard on the stomach if you eat a lot of raw.
And if you take propbiotics I too think Garden of Life probiotics for women are very good.
And as @Sweet Kitties suggested, I do think dairy creates a lot of gas, whether you can tolerate it or not.
Also nuts while good can do the same.
You might want to try giving everything a rest and try eating more soothing foods for a few days and see how that helps. Then when you add some in, you will know what affects you.
And if it all really bothers you, look up the fodmap diet- though everyone is different, it will tell you which foods to avoid and which are ok to eat. Many vegetables and fruits are ok and some are not as far as upset goes.

I eat loads of raw fruits and veggies, no problems with digestion/gerd/regularity. What I don't eat is dairy, meat, processed food and that keeps me healthy. I agree with @Sweet Kitties. I thrive on raw fruits/veggies. Wishing you much health in the future.

I have a lot of digestive issues if I don't take enzymes.
I have taken Andrew Lessman Digestive Enzymes for years. He also has Bean and Vegetable Gas Relief that I take when eating those gas producing foods.

OMG, yes, I can recommend a very good one ... American Health Papaya Enzymes .... and make sure it's the one with chlorophyll. They don't help with gas that I have noticed, but I chew 3 after lunch and dinner and they make a HUGE difference digesting anything I ate.

I hardly do any dairy at all, so I don't think that's the problem. Glad you found what works for you though!

I eat a lot of fresh fruit. As for the raw vegetables, they are primarily in salads. Otherwise, when I have vegetables they are cooked. I do take probiotics and a very good one -- Floristor -- this was recommended by my gastro dr. I never eat nuts. Thank you for your reply!!
