my neurologist doctor did a transcranial Doppler study he said I have a hole in my heart called pfo. The neurologist sent me to a heart doctor who did a microbubble study with a transthoracic echo the heart doctor said microbubble is okay does not show pfo hole in the heart. I am getting two different opinions. I do not known which doctor has the right answer. Thank you .

I would go with the expert (cardiologist's) opinion. That's why there are specialists in different things.
My GP thought I had a fractured patella. Ortho looked at xray and laughed. No fracture. Only artifact.

There are millions of people that have holes in Thier hearts. I had one . I had my repaired because I had a mass in the same area and I asked if they could repair it while they were there and they did. The reason I asked is that they have found a corolation between MIGRAINES and HOLES in the heart. I have only had 2 Migraines in 16 years. So don't worry.

The cardiologist defintiely! In fact I'd get a second opinion from another cardiologist.

The neurologist did the first test with the transcranial doppler test he told me the results that I have a hole in the heart. . He told me to see a heart doctor . He recommended the heart doctor. The microbubble test came out of okay. The heart doctor is going to send his report to the neurologist doctor. I am getting two different opinions.

How could a transcranial dopper test show anything about the heart when it only has to do with the brain? I don't understand this.

I am going to call the neurologist and tell him what the heart doctor said. I am not going to wait for the heart doctor report.
