Our ER put the patient right in a room from the ambulance. They allow one person only to accompany them. Both are in a room and no waiting in a common area anymore. I don't know if other hospitals are doing this. They only bring in the equipment they need to the room, no more carts go in the room.

I wonder why @qvc chick the OP hasn't been back. Hope she's okay. Ideally she's feeling fine and doing something fun and isn't even thinking about forums.

@Porcelain I was just going to say the same thing. @qvc chick I hope you are ok and back to posting at some point. I echo Porcelain's message, that you are doing something fun!

@Porcelain I was asking for her & Riley1 for update.Maybe they busy with holiday stuff.Fingers crossed.
Our hospital will not let anyone with them. so sad.
Poor fellow ,worked at jail, was positive.Wife went in hospital first on ventilator then he went.He died & she still in.Poor things.
Customer husband on ventilator over 2 wks.She talks to Dr.on phone but hasn't seen or spoke to hubby since ambulance took him away. She was positive also.
All are good friends of mine.I'm sure not being able to comfort each other is the worst feeling of hopelessness.
I'm sorry for doom & gloom if you found you had to read this but breaks my heart for them.

@red&curly I am very sorry for your friends’ situations and for your own sadness. The doom and gloom is real, no apology required. Your reaction is a testament to your humanity and this world could use more like you.

It's okay. It's a normal reaction. Anyone with a heart cares about what is going on.

@red&curly So sad. Here no one goes into any health facility with the patient anymore. Things are just closing in.
