 Sea Maiden you asked why............and there are many reasons:

 

Many give to get public recognition. (Celebs are no exception).

 

Many choose to give large donations, but prefer to remain totally annonymous.

 

Many rich people give large sums of money donations directly to the charity of their choice.

 

Many rich people are very stingy and will not help anyone  

 

Many like to see others suffer........and the list goes on and on.
