I don't think there is such a thing as great dental insurance.  It's a lose/lose for any insurer because just about everyone will use it most years and many will use it to the maximum.  I know I've used many more benefits than I've paid in premiums.

I think you are right.

EVERYTHING dental is so EXPENSIVE.

Decent dental insurance is going to cost hundreds of $$$ a month just like medical.

As I mentioned in OP I will have $10,000 this year in OOP dental expenses, I will not have that in medical expenses (total claims not just OOP) in YEARS.
