Re: Dear Captain, Thank you for the memories!

A great player -- class act all the way. Nice guy. He will be sorely missed. I'm already a mess today.

A great career, a great ending & thanks to the Red Sox for their beautiful ceremony honoring Jeter today.

As a long time Red Sox fan, thank you, Derek, for your talent, your grace and your class!

You don't have to be a Yankee fan to appreciate the talents of Derek Jeter. I'm a long time Tiger/Dodger fan, but I tip my hat to Derek as being among baseball's greatest shortstops - Honus Wagner, Cal Ripkin, Alex Rodreguez, Ozzie Smith, Pee Wee Reese, etc....... Next stop for him surely will be the Hall of Fame.

Don't know much about him, but just seeing the words "class act" from you fans makes me happy considering all the disgraceful things happening in sports.

Please take A Rod off that list. Talent through chemicals!

Oh and that last home game was epic. God wrote that screenplay for sure. He came to NYC when my daughter was a newborn and I would watch the game during feedings. Derek is a class act and there should be more athletes like him. It was especially nice to see Andy, Jorge, Mariano, Tino and Bernie. I couldn't help it, I cried. It's the end of an era, Smiley Sad
