DOSING FOR COSTCO GENERIC MIRALAX

I inquired from all Costco resources but still don't have a definitive answer to my question.  Hopefully, someone reading this can help me.

Dosage instructions state that one dose (17 grams of powder) is reached WHEN FILLED TO THE INDICATED LINE (WHITE SECTION IN CAP)

The cap has a "tread line" (that I assume is needed to screw in the cap) about 1/4 up from the bottom).

Is THAT the "line" I'm supposed to measure for one dose?  OR, is the "line" near the TOP of the cap where the white part of the cap ends??

Thanks so much for giving me the answer to this question.

@pdlinda I'm thinking there is a line you're missing.  Use a flashlight if you have to. But 17 grams = 3.83 tsp so if you measure almost 4 tsps into the cap you will most likely find the line.

Re: DOSING FOR COSTCO GENERIC MIRALAX

@eadu4   THANK YOU!  If you can believe it, 3.83 tsps is between the "tread" line and the top of the white portion of the cap!  There IS NO LINE there!

BTW, I spoke to the pharmacist on the phone and called the Costco info line.   The pharmacist told me the line was the "tread" line but since that was not a exact line I wasn't satisfied.

I now feel comfortable that the dosage will have to be "inexact" but I'm satisfied.  Thanks, again!

@pdlinda Wow that is funny that it is the thread line.  You would think the instructions could just say "fill to begining thread line" lol.  I'm glad you found your answer.  :-)

@pdlinda @I found a video on the Costco site that shows how to prepare the product. It says fill to top of white section inside the cap. This is 17 grams. To view yourself go to
your search box and put this in it. Kirkland Signature LaxaClear, 100 Doses

To me, when I look, it seems to be filled below the top of the white area.

Yes, it's exactly "inexact."  The 3.83 tsps is exactly as shown...a bit below the top of the white section of the cap.

Thanks so much!

Re: DOSING FOR COSTCO GENERIC MIRALAX

I've taken a few different generic brands of Miralax.  I just go to the top of the white part.  I don't think being off a bit matters.  They all use a copy of the original Miralax cap, maybe a different color, but holding the same amount.
