Re: Covid vaccine

[ Edited ]

A physician Dr Nicole Saphire (correct spelling) who works at a New Jersey hospital stated that the pfizer vaccine gives you a little over 50% protection in just one shot.  She is advocating that since this is better results than from a flu vaccine, they should administer the first shots to as many people as possible and not hold vaccines for the 2nd shot which can be procured later.  She said 50% to many is better than 95% to a few.

On aside note Pfizer stock is down almost 4% the days the trucks roll out. Odd.

DH just found out he will get Covid vaccinated early next week! It's really happening. I'm so happy about this! I don't qualify, but it will be so great to know he's safe and unlikely to pass the virus to me.

(FYI: If he were to have a reaction afterward, which I doubt would happen, I will say so. Even if it's just feeling tired or sore. I think it's good for everyone to know.)

I have decided to definitely get the vaccine....however, it will probably be next spring.  There are others who rightly need to go first.
