Hubby got sick with Covid Christmas Eve day.
Thursday I came down with it.
We both have very different symptoms though.
He had fever, body aches and lethargy.
I have what feels like a bad head cold.
Thankfully we're both vaxxed or we'd be dealing with much worse illness.

@sharkb8.  Maybe you do have a bad head cold?  Did you take a Covid test?  Hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you got sick with Covid for Christmas. Hope you and your DH are feeling better soon.

I got Covid for the first time during this past summer when I was on my way home from vacation. I wasn't paying attention to taking better care of myself by staying hydrated and taking my supplements.  I got a bad sore throat and went to urgent care to be sure it wasn't turning into strep.

However I have not gotten vaxxed even the first time around and I was okay.  Being vaccinated is not a guarantee from getting very sick.  I think a strong immune system helps a lot with any virus.

DH returned from NYC and the next day came down with a cough and headache.  2 days later I started coughing.  Never thought of getting tested.  Is there a reason to do so?  We are both better now less than a week later.

Just me but if I had cold symptoms I  would consider  it a cold and not Covid test.

Why wouldn't you test for covid?? I certainly would and have done so.  Covid is a thing now---is the first thing I think about if I were sick.
