Covid Public Announcement Airing in AZ

Just yesterday several Phoenix channels are airing a public service Covid ad in the Navajo language with English subtitles.  This is a great idea as our native populations are being seriously impacted by Covid.

@patbz.  We've had those for most of this year.  The morning news anchor at one of our local stations is Navajo and he has done many PSAs in his language.  Also documentaries in English about covid on the Navajo Nation, where it has been so rampant.

 

My favorite is a PSA that tells how to incorporate local traditions with covid restrictions.  It ends with this advice, "No hugging, just drop off cookies".   I wholeheartedly endorse that.

Thank you both for this information.  Having lived near, and volunteered at the Navajo reservation, I have worried about the situation there often, good to hear this.

The Navajo seem to be lucky to have an unusually diligent and astute president, a man named Johnathon Nez.  He has worked hard and has done a lot for his people.  He's a very wise man.
