CoQ10 caps upset my stomach - anyone else?

My stomach is my weak spot anyway. Has anyone with a sensitive stomach found a C0Q10 product that works?

The product I have has lots of ingredients, so I wonder if I am allergic to one of them or the CoQ10 itself. The ingredients I suspect: Black pepper extract, beeswax, and Rosemary oil. I can't use any of these on my skin. I always check skincare ingredients, but never thought to check vitamin ingredients, but I will do so from now on.

I use Andrew Lessman's CoQ10 and have never had an upset stomach with any of his supplements. Granted, I don't have stomach issues anyway. This brand is known for not upsetting people's stomach and makes claims that it doesn't. It is sold on hsn.com

If you are near a Trader Joe's their Ubiquinol is the most potent form of CoQ10 and pure. $20 for 60 capsules of 100 mg each. That equals about 600 mg of CoQ10, a theraputic dose.

I've never had stomach upset when I take mine daily. According to my MD, since CoQ10 is fat-soluble, we need to take the supplement with any meal containing fat. She also recommends the soft-gel ubiquinol form which she says is considered better than the ubiquinone form. I get mine at Costco. No side effects.

A LOT of medications give me an upset stomach, including prescription medications I've needed to take. You can sometimes get around it by altering the way you take it. If you took it on an empty stomach, try taking it after a meal. If you took it with food, try it on an empty stomach. If that doesn't work, you may need to switch the brand you're taking. I always try the full/empty stomach thing first before I give up on prescription medication, as it's too expensive to just give up on a whole bottle after 1-4 pills have been consumed and pay for a replacement.

I took a Turmeric supplement I got from Vitacost that had black pepper added and it upset my stomach so I stopped taking it. I'm thinking maybe it was the black pepper or it was just too strong of a dosage. Since then I am taking Andrew Lessman's Turmeric and also his CoQ10 and they are fine for my stomach. In fact all of the supplements I take are now his and I've never had any stomach upset with them.

I take Andrew Lessman's CoQ10 and TruQ10 with coffee in the morning and have no problems. I was also taking Wegmans CoQ10 when I ran out of AL's and they were fine, too.

I agree with you that it might be something in the inactive ingredients that you don't agree with.

I also use ProCaps (Andrew Lessman) CoQ10 with no problems at all. It does not contain extra ingredients.
