I saw that some people on twitter think he is faking and doesnt have the virus! I dont think that anyone would fake this!  I dont watch him on cnn but have seen his video on social media.

Chris Cuomo is scared to death and if anyone out there doesn't believe it, they're not paying attention. He is having guests on that have survived Covid-19 to get viewers to understand the severity of this illness, and to also absorb any and all advice they have to maybe help himself get through it. Several nights I thought he was going to start to cry speaking of how he misses hugging his family. Anyway, this is the time we should all be trying to lift each other up by staying strong and spreading positivity. Have a good holiday everyone, no matter what you celebrate, and stay safe.😊

Good grief is the nicest thing I can say right now. I know we're good people, under stress who are bored on the forums - but please, have a little civility.

  • I wish only good for Chris Cuomo. I wouldn't change places with him and his family/friends must be concerned. Now isn't the time to be rude - even if it is your opinion
  • Andrew Cuomo runs circles around my governor. If he isn't your governor -- don't say anything. If he is -- please know he's offering great leadership for our country - heads and tails above so many governors in our country.

@jeanlake

thank you for this post. it is needed.

i like chris, but like you, i would not want to trade places with him, not even if i could have his contact list of specialists and be guaranteed that they would take my call. i think chris is helping people understand the non ventilator version of the virus.

sadly, many people won't 'get it', until they actually get the virus. its obvious that many don't understand. if they did, they would not be going to the grocery store every week or every other week. why? 'cause each time you leave the house, the chances of getting the virus increases.

not that there is a good time to get hurt somehow, but this definitely isn't the time to find out. why? i asked a friend that is the chief of staff at a large hospital, if there were 2 waiting rooms for the emergency room now. the answer '%$#$% no'. to clarify i asked if someone breaks their arm or gets in the car wreck, are they in the same vicinity as incoming covid19 patients. the answer - 'yes, pretty much'. even though i have no plans to leave the house any time soon, that was enough for me.

andrew has set the tone and pace (the pace is critical) for what governors should be doing. sticking to the medical facts, really knowing how the federal government works, (guess that comes from him actually working for the federal government BEFORE he became governor - talk about doing things in the right order <smile>. work history counts)

because of andrew, other governors are trying to up their game. many are way more then a day late and way more than a dollar short.

the other day i heard the governor of ct saying that the lower part of his state should be included with new york. really? that cracked me up. perhaps he wasn't listening when a few weeks ago andrew said that he was working with nj and ct - aka the tri-state area. q-tips anyone?

apparently, people didn't realize how 'connected' andrew was BEFORE he became the governor. andrew's staff is on point also.

@iwrite, I am not familiar with what you said Ned Lamont, the governor of CT, stated.  I do know that the epidemic in that part of CT close to New York is high.  People in that part of CT can commute to NYC and some have weekend homes in that area, as well.  I live in the northern part of CT, and it has been predicted our area is going to get worse.  Perhaps you did not realize that.

Since  he has been sick and  in his basement I have watched the first minutes while he talks about himself and the virus!  I have seen also those that believe he is not really sick!  You can tell he is sick just when you see him on his show. I also thought he was close to tears a few times!

I'm a fan of the Cuomos----I watch Chris on tv. Boy he looks rough--you can see it in his eyes that he is still feverish---feel bad for him and the others going thru all this horrible thing. But it is very interesting to hear what he is going thru and what he is doing to help his body heal------been thru the wringer before with breast cancer and had to put my big girl panties on and deal with it, not the other way around. I can empathize with him.

Gee, when the outbreak began, as the hot spot in New york, didn't it occur to him to close down the borders to stop the spread to the New England states?! Thanks to him, Connecticut is now a hot bed of disease.

The southwestern towns and "panhandle" of CT are just as deep red as NYC right now and have been for two weeks or more.  As you pointed out there is a lot of commuting across the border.  It's moving up rapidly through New Haven county and we're all at serious risk.

I think Governor Lamont is doing the best that he can.  I read a lot of flippant comments about him.  To those people I say, let's see you get off your couch, get up there and govern an epidemic ridden state.
