Hello everyone.  I took a break from posting and thought I'd give you an update.  My chest pain went away completely especially when I breathe deeply, that took the longest.  My cough too went away for now.  I am usually affected by pollen season.  I am not going back to my family practise physician for this issue but will see a lung specialist eventually since my chest xray recommended a followup ct scan.  When I do see a doctor I will ask about getting an ultrasound instead.  I have since been told that a ct scan is equivalent to 2 hours in a plane.  I never heard that before.  Will discuss with my new doctor and tell him my concerns as I am not a smoker and have not had any serious lung issues requiring hospitalization.
