Have a relative that began radiation treatment with a one time chemo each week. This is week three. She has a rare cancer that began in her nostril/sinus area. She said that now they are considering doing a spinal tap with chemo added. Does anyone know if this is normally done as a preventative measure OR if they feel she may be at a stage 4. She is very stressed and not clear on what they explained to her. I know nothing about this subject. Thanks for any input.
