Cataracts

I went in for a routine annual eye exam and was told that I have beginning cataracts in each of my eyes. When I asked about the consequences of this discovery, I was told not to worry as surgery is very successful for a remedy and it didn't sound like an imminent situation...I came home and started reasearching. I don't accept defeat very well and feel there is always a way to correct/improve any situation.

Do any of you have any suggestions or experiences with cataracts? Thanks for any feedback.
