I know I have to follow a mini-colonoscopy type prep tomorrow (clear liquids after lunch, Citrate of Magnesia, nothing by mouth after midnight) I know that I have to swallow this pill/camera type thing, but--I never asked and was never told anything else because the doc just said they had to get insurance approval first. So--I got a phone call Friday to say they did get approval and could I come Thursday for it. I went on the doctor's website (I'm having it done at the University Hospital associate's Gastro Clinic) and it says that you go in, swallow the capsule, and they hook you up to the equipment--which you return the next day. Has anyone done this procedure???? I thought it was sort of like an endoscopy (which I had done before and it was done 1-2-3 and I went home) Did you have to sleep with stuff hooked up to you???? Just wondering!
