will do Bff. Problem for me is: when I'm walking north to south (or vice versa) most of me is wriggling east and west.

gc--yes you can buy a toner--do you have a Sallys or a local hair supply store around? I'd go there to ask for info. The staff is usually girls that deal with hair stuff all the time. But if no one really notices your new color then WTH---leave it alone!! It'll tone down in a week or so just from the atmosphere!!

graciesm----oh you poor thing!!! And what in blue blazes are you waiting so long to see a dr???? Bad girl!!!! You did way more damage than my fall a couple days ago--was down most yesterday tending to bumps and bruises but feel better today. I am usually very careful about my feet but got them tangled in a skinny cord of a speaker I didn't wind up properly. Hit a bunch of stuff first so maybe that cushioned my fall. Gosh almighty!!!

BTW, thanks for the birthday wishes. I went to get a photo, got side tracked and didn't make it back here. I will celebrate next week. We had a celebration yesterday at work.

I am in no hurry to tone. Just thought I could do it before I left because it gets hectic in CT. I can even wait until I get back. We'll see. We have to go to Comcast and see if we can get sister's name off the bill, then squabble for a lower bill. Mother has phone, internet and cable with Comcast. There is a Sally's two doors down.

I still have to pack my suitcase and mow the lawn. Lots to do today.

Just wanted to wish Happy Birthday to all those August birthday babies!!! My mother, father and brother (all now deceased) had August birthdays.

And wishes to GraciesMom and Pam of rapid healing. I tell you, you can fall in the blink of an eye. I try to watch myself carefully too. And it wasn't that long ago that Jackie fell and sprang her foot also. How's your foot, Jackie?

Exterior lighting has been installed today. 3 separate spotlights on 3 windmill palms in different spots and another on a gigantic potted pigmy-3-trunk-date palm very close to front porch. Then 3 path lights down a winding walkway. We'll have to see how it looks tonight. Lannie, it took 4 men one whole day to erect the huge palm and get it perfectly straight, etc. I watched it all....in the very hot sun, and I like it. My house is small....just one story. The largest palm is about 16 ft. It's situated between two windows in middle of front part of house that have Bermuda shutters on them. Hope you have a good visit with your sister and soon to be married friend.... :-)

Mae, hearing about your exercise program is inspiring. I generally walk, but my right thigh/hip area has started hurting me after I walk a couple of blocks. Can't figure out the cause exactly. Anyway, I'm happy for you that you have such a great place to go to even if it is a drive for you.

There's the picture I was fiddling around with last night.

Pam, I fixed my blonde issue. I colored my hair, but only left it on for 5 minutes. That took the edge off. I'm brown now with a little blonde, instead of blonde with very little brown. I think I'd go to that place again.

I'm close to packing. Just waiting on some laundry to finish.
