@JackieHN ---geez--the side effects stated for most drugs sound 10x worse than what you take the drugs for---at least it sounds that way. But good that you have noticed some change for the better.

I haven't been on Medicare long--since the end of March 2022 when the divorce was final--I was on the idiots insurance until then--and that was amazing insurance. So was concerned at what I would be paying with Medicare/supplemental plans--and this ankle thing was a biggie for any insurance. Yes the charges are ridiculous--cost $700 for my 3 meds I take a day--and I had them in my purse!!!  That is BS!!! Even had them in the pill bottles with all the info on them---wish I knew what all the codes meant----there were some pretty hefty $$ charged for some of them----

Fun week. Had my 5th dental implant. Not tragic. It'[s my neck that pains me. This botox is not benign when injected into the muscle. I'm just taking tylenol.I didn'[t even know i was lopsided until Boris told me. I really don'[t look in the mirror anymore except to tweeze and put on makeup and to see if I'[m put together.

@wagirl  -  Google using info you have from the bill or paperwork.  An example: "Medical Code 77057" and you'll see an explanation.  77057 is a screening mammo.

Hello all!  Happy May!! Been very quiet here for a while----Hope everyone is well

So DD and Itook  a trip to the Breast Center at my hospital yesterday--she, unfortunately, had to have a biopsy--really 2 of them --as after her mammo a few weeks ago, a couple of suspect spots were an issue--she has very dense breast tissues and very large boobs--now we wait until Thursday for results.  Hopefully all will be fine. I had countless biopsies and always the need to go back for do-overs and ultra sounds and mammos every 6 months for awhile. She is pretty freaked out over it all--and now sore to boot but she went to work today---I had the MRI guided biopsie that was sheer horror!! Was never so upset in my life over a procedure that that one. that was in 2012--hopefully things are a little more ....kind now. So now she does have clips in those 2 areas.

Haven't heard from em or graciesmom lately----- is Pink on her trip now? and jackie--5 implants? How long does it take from start to finish for an implant?

Finally getting thru all my missed appointments--going to lipid clinic tomorrow, then next week to the eye dr and still need a dentist. Hair cut next week too. But finally got a pedi!!! Felt amazing ---the last one was last Sept. My feet were awful and had ingrown nails on the big toes that were very painful----making it hurt to do much walking--and even wore sandals too----not flip flops but ones that strap around my ankle--need some support still. the nail place is only 8 minutes away from me.

Weather has been up and down lately--over the weekend was 81* here than down to 76* and then back into the 50's yesterday--today/tomorrow will be 70-ish then back to the 50's and rain.  all the trees are just barely leafed out --very late here, but I counted 15 lily stems growing!! Very happy at that--they were so late too--

Not much going on really! and that's ok with me!!

Hi Everyone!

I'm here Pam...

Having a bit of a rough time since taking the Arimidex--not sleeping at all---lots of aches and pains---been on the drug since March 15--still waiting to see if I can tolerate it in the long run. Seeing my oncologist on June 21--to get the results of my June 19 PET scan (praying it's not showing cancer again) and she will discuss with me about staying on the Arimidex.

I also had a bit of a scare---felt a round nodule near my belly button last week--never noticed it before. I freaked out for awhile. I decided to wait and see if it gets bigger--not just run to my oncologist. As for today, it appears to have gotten smaller--much less prominant. Being it's at the rim of my belly button, it's probably some sort of internal scar tissue or a reaction to the ablation procedure I had a few weeks ago--the surgeon had to go through my belly button--so it's logical what I'm feeling is from that, no? Of course, will show my oncologist when I see her--I think it can wait until June--and if it's anything, it will show up on my PET scan.Never a dull moment. Too many "blips" in my cancer journey lately!

That being said....not much else happening...which is fine..I love it when my life is calm and quiet. Hubby Joe's birthday is coming up on May 16---hard to fiugre out what to give him this year--at this point, we only give each other birthday gifts--we don't really need anything (but to win the lottery!)--trying to decide on what kind of take-out for dinner that night as well. We still don't feel safe sitting in a restaurant. Maybe I'll give him an Amazon gift card and tell him to pick out his own gift. After being married for 43 years (but a total of 52 together), there's not much else we can buy for each other (although I would NEVER turn down diamonds--LOL!!).

Hope everyone is doing well....I continue to pray for all of you---stay healthy and happy!!! Thanks for remembering me, even if I don't post often!!!

Love & God Bless,

Good to hear from you, graciesmom----yes, arimidex did that to me too--just couldn't tolerate it. Your belly button thing sounds like that is what is going on--just never know where all these bumps and weird little things pop up after such a procedure. Makes you paranoid tho---can you write your dr a note thru your online portal?

Birthdays!!!??----Woman Frustratedgot one coming in June myself---no big deal anymore.

How's our little Remy doing? Could use a photo to brighten things up!!!Woman Very Happy

Have some good news about my DD---biospy showed no cancer-- but still will be an issue. She is going to a breast specialist the end on this month to see exactly what course of action she should take. Thinking prob close monitoring-- it will be something to watch . Now maybe we both will sleep easier--these last few weeks have been awful!! She tends to go balistic over these health things and it's hard to talk her down.

And I went to see the pharmacist about starting meds for my cholesterol problems. Will try taking Repatha, if medicare oks that. It's a twice a month shot. Diet can help --a little --but I need something ASAP. Will inject into my belly--got lots of padding there.

It's is a glorious day outside--warm and sunny. Was a nice walk to the dr this morning.

Hi all.  I'm back from my trip to Austria and Germany.  It was lovely and so beautiful.  I love Austria.  We were mainly in Vienna the longest and then Salzburg in the alps.  The people are so friendly and the cities so clean.

However, I'm exhausted from all the walking.  My ankle which you know Pam started bothering me a bit.  Lots of hills, cobblestone streets, etc to walk around in, etc.  So I was always looking down so I wouldn't trip. lol.  The time change is still causing jet lag but in another day or so should be fine.

@Gracies Mom  Sorry your not feeling well with that mediciation.  I would not be too worried about the belly button.

Most likely a side effect.

And Pam I'm glad your daughter is clear and ok too!

@JackieHN  hope your dental problems will soon come to an end. oy.

I wanted to spread a little cheer and so I'm attaching a picture of Salzburg, Austria in the alps.  Also a picture at Stephansdome cathedral.  I lit a candle and said prayer's for all including my Q friends.  (We went to mass at St. Augustinian church in Vienna also.  It is absolutely beautiful.  I was happy to go.

St. Augugustinian Cathedral in Vienna.  It is right near or in the Hofburg Palace:

Me, sitting in our hotel room over looking the Albertina and Opera House in Vienna.  It is a reading nook.  Very peaceful indeed!

@Pink123 ----HI Pink!! OMG--such lovely photos and thanks for showing them here. Your trip sounds amazing. I can imagine that your ankle probably protested a little and good that you watched your step. Is this your trip for this year or do you have another one planned?

Yes my daughter is relieved--- still has a very sore breast--it is black and blue, mostly black as she is very fairred skinned-- but it is better every day. She will go see a surgeon at the end of this month for advice. Funny but this dr is in the same office as the incredible dr I had when I went thru all that cancer junk in 2012.

 glad you are back!!

@wagirl  Hey Pam, I'm happy you enjoyed them.  We all have to spread a little cheer once in awhile.

Now it's been over a year since I moved and I need to find a new Doctor.  I promised myself I would when I got back from Europe and so here we are. OY!  I will get on it next week though.  So once again the paranoia and panic will return.  But such is life.

No, we are not taking another big trip this year but plan on one next Spring.  He will be going to spain early July to handle some business.  I'm staying here. I don't know if you remember but I got robbed in Madrid last May. Not ready to return there yet. I won't mind  2 weeks of peace and quiet.  Like watching some good tv or something. lol.

Oh I forgot to mention my ankle did swell up somewhat.  It's been 7 months or so?  It's going down now but still a bit bigger than the other  ankle.  I think it's all the walking and the very long plane flights.
