@JackieHN --- I was getting just a little worried about you!! Glad you are here!!  Glad you are beautiful again with your new do and browsWoman Wink

Well the divorce $$ is mine with my name on it and all--it's just that when/how I get it that is the big question---the "idiot" cannot access it or be involved with any of it now and that is good, I just have to wait for the incompetants from his union to get things together. I call them every week on Fridays.

What was going on with your stomach? I am having issues with mine and have an endoscopy sceduled for next month. Onc dr was very concerned so had CA 125 labs done to make sure it isn't an ovary thing--it isn't, came back normal.

There are new cases of covid here too but not horrible----yet! DD and I do go out alot but still mask up. Just us and my brother and wife are the only ones in our family that have not gotten covid---- yet!!!

Weather has finally turned to summer and been pleasant and sunny--had a couple days or near 90* but only a couple.  My lilies ready to blossom and my herbs are beautiful. Stripey cat is doing so much better now that her thyroid meds are kicking in. But still thinks she needs to eat all day long---she gets 3 meals a day and a yogurt snack at night. So spoiled--Cat LOL

I did a little damage on AMZ prime day--not too bad --got a few things I "NEEDED" and a few more I didn't  and my 2 kids bought me an Apple watch for my birthday---thanks to prime day.

I am glad to hear from you! which Dr Strange movie did you see--I liked the first one and the current one was OK--am a big fan of those movies anyway!! My DD just rolls her eyes!Woman Wink

Hi Pam! Hi Jackie!

Just popping in to tell you I have sad news to report....Goldie passed away at the end of May 2022. I have a friend through this forum that was friendly with Goldie, but they had not communicated in a long time. My friend was curious as to what ever happened to Goldie (my friend knew Goldie's real name) so she did a little research and found Goldie's obituary.I attempted to put the link in my message here, but QVC deleted it, saying it had too much information. Anyway, I wanted to let you ladies know what I found out earlier today.

Jackie--So good to see you posting---I also thought everyone gave up on this forum, but am glad to see that isn't true. You sound well and as fiesty as ever!!!

Pam--So happy to see you posting as well and that you are doing OK!

Stay safe in this heat---and also stay safe from COVID--I am always praying for all of you!!!

Love,

Gracies/Remy's Mom

@Gracies Mom ---You know--I was just thinking about Goldie recently and wondering and maybe just a little bit, expecting this. Very sad for that and thought it was a shame she didn't continue on with this board---but you never know---thanks for letting us know and again--glad to hear from you for any reason!!

We will be getting some hot weather starting next Tuesday and on thru Thursday---highs in the upper 80's to mid 90's, I hear--not a fan, I have to say-- but we have not had anything like the rest of the country, so am grateful for that--time to set up my AC.

such sad news. I knew Goldie was not her real name. Don't think I didn't research her. I was worried. It always came up that she was with us. I guess she didn't want to complain on the boards or didn't have the strength.  She was so sick and cancer was not her only problem.  I have been trying for weeks to get on the board. It was down. I just tried and it worked. Guess there were a lot of complaints along with mine.

Stomach problems were unbelievable. Nausea and diarrhea. I figured it out and realized that I needed digestive enzymes and Pam I had to change my diet. It worked for the most part. Also stress played a role in this.

@JackieHN ---gee--sounds like my issues to a point as well---and I changed the diet and how much I eat,  and when I eat it. My main thing, I think,  was that the ibuprophen I was taking,  just tore up my stomach lining and it has taken months to heal--now when I suggested that to the gastro  p/a----well she kind of poo-pooed that idea--  wanted an endoscopy and that was that--I cancelled that appt -couldn't get to and from and you can't take an Uber---been doing fine, but need a good pre/pro biotic now. And agree about the stress--that has been a constant for me this last year.

OMG---these boardsMan Sad---had to jump thru hoops just to see what was going on--it's been a solid 2 weeks of technical problems---could use my iphone ok but not my ipad or  desktop.

Weather here had been horrendously hot---in the 90's and higher since last Monday(25th)---and we have the weekend to go of it---we just don't do well in this heat---I have a jillion fans blowing in the apt, constant noise--stripey cat seems to do fine tho---and DD and I have a/c in our bedrooms so I am sleeping.I get up at 4 am and put a fan outdoors on the balcony to blow in the cool air. It's supposed to break by Monday--and then cool 70's and maybe some rain!!

glad to hear from you Jackie!!

Pam it wasn't from lack of trying to post. The forums were just down. I can recommend a good probiotic which was recommended to me by my oral surgeon. His brother is a GI guy and said this is the only one to take.Florastor. it's pricey but got me through  antibiotics without c-diff.

I went through 3 or 4 endoscopies and my girlfriend lives on Motrin. He told us both the same thing. If you are going to take  N-said's daily then you must take Prilosec, or Prevacid or one of the others to protect your stomach. He liked prilosec.

I read Goldie's obituary and they even showed a picture of her when she was healthy. What a beautiful woman with blonde hair. She was an LPN but left to become a real estate agent. My heart breaks because she stopped writing and we couldn't help her.

@JackieHN --yes-- I had the same issues with this board, altho read about  a way to at least read the posts----but it took forever just to scroll up and down then hit this button and then that one--was a royal pain and posted a few times but was way too much work---

Yes, I still do take prilosec -40mg--everyday--- mostly for the n-saids I WAS taking ---but don't anymore. I will check out the Florastor--have heard of it.

Yes I am very sad to hear of goldies passing--but after awhile I suspected something was not right. It's been years since she was last on this board.

OK---- ONE more day of this wretched 90*+ weather!!! It was 93* yesterday and I swear--inside this apt it was in the 80's--even with the 400 fans I have blowing---I tripped on one of the cords and landed HARD on my already sore foot and made it even worse!!!

Going to my brothers place today for a family BBQ----not really looking forward to it because of the hotness--spent the early part of yesterday making salads to take---we will be in their downstairs mostly with fans running---and out on their deck too---

Still am glad to hear from you!!!

pam I did speak to Goldie twice on the phone. She was a lovely Southern Belle with a heart of gold. But then all communication stopped. She didn't answer to emails or would pick up the phone. I had to respect her wishes.

I never heard of Florastor either until my Dr mentioned it, Also my girlfriend told me about it via her GI Dr. I get mine on Amazon or Costco when they have a coupon for it.

Going to New Jersey this weekend for my nephews wedding. We are staying over in one of the casino's which is not far from the winery that they are getting married in. I already submitted my dinner. They called and asked us. Flounder for the rehearsal dinner and Chicken for the wedding. That's a new one for me. Usually they ask you at the table. The rehearsal dinner is going to be at a restaurant. Poor sister in law got stuck with that bill. I said how many people. She said around 40. Whew!! She just said I'm handing them my credit card. I don't even want to know how much it is costing. When my stepson got married he wanted nothing from us because it cost a fortune to get there and stay there. The flights to Australia are not cheap. And then there is lodging.

Oh well that's my news except for the bloody dentist. My filling came out and had to be fixed, It could have been worse,

@JackieHN --I'm glad you talked  to her. But if someone doesn't want to talk, then what can you do? I'm sure she had her reasons but think we could have helped her at least laugh a little at our antics. May she rest in peace.

Your wedding plans sound kind of fun---weddings  are a whole different beast than when I did it. Nice that you got to pick your meal and hope it is delicious!!  When my fave nephew got married 5+ years ago--my brother did the rehearsal dinner at a Korean hot pot place--set him back $1500. Now with things so bloody expensive......yikes!!!!

Got a very nice surprise in the mail yesterday, from the "idiots" union--I will start my monthly pension on Sept 1st---with retro pay back to May1 st---FINALLY!!!!  Not sure he even knows I get this as it was a total surprise to me when I found out!! So I THINK?.......... in Sept, a solid  year and 1/2 of aggravation and anger and stress may be over----until taxes are dueWoman Wink

Going to a new chiro today. My left foot is acting up again because my right leg is at least 1/2 inch shorter so I constantly limp if I don't wear the shoes that have a lift in the right side--but I don't wear shoes in the apt. they are clunkers and not fit for indoors-- my last chiro that was here close had top move to another location and the last time he worked on me, he really over tweaked my neck so that I had 3 days of ocular migraines--now I'm paranoid of that---but this new dr uses a special appliance, so no manual cracking involved---
