GC Happy to hear you made it to Canada Safely. Maybe you won't have a hard time there since the people that your training have some brains. Sorry about the weather though. It's going to be a cold winter here. Hopefully not too much snow.

Well Pam move over. I'm sufficiently pooped. Prepped all of the walls for painting but haven't heard from the painter. I'm telling you guys this scrubbing bubbles is wonderful on molding and white walls. That and a magic eraser. Went shopping early yesterday and bought all of the heavy stuff. Just had to get out of here. Today was shopping for the light stuff  like my beloved chicken salad. Tomorrow mor cleaning up. This work is exhausting but rewarding. Wards off stress from living with a maniac.

my scrubbing bubbles day will be tomorrow / Thursday at the rental house. Got the kitchen stuff all out and just a few things left that the hubs will have to get. Tomorrow will be scrubbing the baths and wiping out the kitchen cabinets, cleaning the appliances, and dusting. Then cleaning and polishing the wood floors. Carpets cleaned Thursday ; Friday turn in the keys and say goodbye. This house was not spotless when we moved in --- it will be much cleaner now. Except for the oil stain on the driveway---- hubs will have to power wash that.

My 1/2 new house is a disaster with boxes everywhere--- need to wipe out the cabinets and rinse all the dishes too. Blinds are covered with dust and grime. Floors even worse.  Didn,t get the clean up as expected. Not a fan of this contractor and will not recommend him. But at least we are back home---- been close to a year for all this. Can I have some normalcy now?

Pam washed my blinds with the scrubbing bubbles as well. Pretty good. This stuff is wonderful and it's not expensive. I bought 4 cans in BJ's. I think I'm in for the day. Too much to do here. Heard from the painter. Coming late next week. Thank you lord. I told him I only want a water based primer. I prepped the walls, doors, window frames and molding and will go over some spots but the room is clean and ready for painting. Husband just watches me kill myself. He thinks it's stupid to do all of this work. I said the better you prepare the walls the longer your paint job will last.

All of this is therapy for the both of us. I have my mammo at the end of the month. So this work keeps my mind off of it.

You people make me tired reading about your doings.  Can you swing by my house?  It really needs some TLC.  I've neglected it.

Yes, people are smart.  Haven't had that in some time.  I worry the job may be too boring for them.

Back at home they had a little snow and there were lots of accidents.

Oh GC we are retired. You are still working. When I worked it was difficult to get anything done. Plus you have your crazy family to deal with. Whatever it takes simplify your life If you need a cleaning lady get one. If work has to be done hire someone. I did it when I worked.

Hello------???????

Anybody home???????

Kind of quiet around here-------thats ok--I can fill up the blanks with my chatter--

So can I have a chorus of hallelujahs, amen, and hail Marys----this is my first day at home with not having to run to the rental to clean or move anything---been a hard long 2 weeks of nothing but stuff shuffling---my house looks like a war zone with boxes everywhere. Need to swab down my kitchen so I can put away stuff--which mens I need to take the dishes that stayed here and rinse them of the dust still on them. then need to unbury my laundry room as stuff got shoved in there too. I did find my clean undies tho---that was a huge thing. Haven't had time to really enjoy the new house yet---at the end of the day I collapse into my bed greatfully-----but hopefully this weekend I will make more head way. The hubs is putting in the closet organizers this weekend --he better away----thats has been a huge irritation--should have been done weeks ago-as the many other things too----I may just hire a handyman to help me----

Whats the weather like where you are? We had 14 days straight of chilly but dry beautiful, sunny fall, weather----and today it rained--- very nice for moving.Stripey cat is so glad to be home---she just fell back in the rhythm of things here--except for all the stuff piled--got her a  small, shaggy dog bed that looks like a furry donut that she can spread out on-----she loves it----now gotta get back into the dr appts that I put off all summer, for me and stripey.then the holidays---holy cow-----can I catch up with everything?

Pam glad your back in the house. One day at a time girlfriend. And yes it is exhausting trying to put everything back and cleaning up the muck.

Had a mishap with my keyboard last evening. I washed my washable keyboard and it died. After going to my driver's defensive course this morning, had to get another one. Do you folks go to them to get 10% off of your car insurance?? We do it every 3 years.

Haven't heard from the painter again. I have no idea when he wants to start.

it's 36 degrees here. Brisk but at least there is no snow.

At least stripey cat is happy.  That's all that matters.  Need a man, hire one.  😳

Made it out of Canada.  Still can't believe it was just yesterday.  Boy was I tried but it all worked out.  It was -5 there when I left.  It was a tad chilly.  Here in CT, it was 15 this morning.

Cleaned house, dropped off recycling, car wash and groceries today. More of the same tomorrow.  😬

GC sounds like going to Canada wasn't such a bad experience. It's cold here that's for sure. Hope they aren't driving you too crazy in CT

Lord I'm dead and don't have enough good sense to lie down. Idiot husband just watches me kill myself moving around bins. Had to take the risers from the feet of the bed so they can move the bed around. I needed a higher bed so I could more clothes underneath. Now the clothes are going. I'm downsizing big time. Hey Pam I bet your in the same condition I'm in. Next time I say I want to paint a room someone smack me.

Happy Veteran's Day to all, in honor of those who have and are serving our country.

I haven't seen anything from Graciesmom in a long time.  I miss the photos of her little dog.  I hope they are all doing well.

Everyone seems to be very busy, traveling, moving, remodeling, etc.

I have my mamogram on Friday morning, and I have have several doctor appointments and tests coming up.  I'd appreciate your good thoughts and prayers.  I continue to pray for all of you every night.
