Unforunatley it was 9pm at night and couldn't get to the Doctors. I had every symptom. The headache the chills whole body ached high temp. But it has left me totally wiped out I am so exhausted! I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow night I don't know how I am going to do this if I am still exhausted. Anyone else here had the flu?

I'm sorry you are so sick!
I didn't get the flu, but I know plenty of people who did. Some got the flu shot, while others didn't.
Either way it doesn't matter -- What's important is that you rest up and take care of yourself. Hopefully this won't last too long.

Since the flu made such a national impact, I'll bet your employer will encourage you to stay home. Lots & lots of people have/had it...and died from it ..especially here in Texas. No fool in' around with it. Sleep, sleep, sleep....

I had the flu in 1999 and it took me weeks to get over the lingering symptoms even though I began taking the antiviral within 12 hours of the initial chills and bone pain. Hope you're feeling much better ASAP.Thanks everyone I am going to call my Dr and see if she can see me today for some time off from work.Everyone I work with has been sick.

Butterfly12, I hope you feel better soon. For viral illnesses, it is usually recommended that you rest and drink lots of fluids during your recovery time. Here are some complementary alternative medicine remedies for flu, and influenza-like illnesses, some of which I have found very useful in helping me to recover from flu-like illness (ILI) or influenza itself, like green tea and coconut oil:
