Not true! I had a beautiful sealpoint Siamese and he was the best "medicine" ever. I've also had Burmese and Tonkinese - same with those. I love the Orientals.

My Tonkinese girl would curl up on the pillow beside me and I'd always drift straight off to sleep. I lost her last year, but have her photo on the wall by my computer.

And my current Siamese/cross rescue is sitting in my lap purring, as I type. She also races upstairs to bed with me and purrs me to sleep.

How precious! And true. We now have a little tuxedo-patterned cat, so that hit home. I've always said dachshunds are the little "clowns" of the dog world, and I feel the same way about these black and white cats. It's relaxing just watching them, too.

@Sooner I've known many a Siamese cat that were total love junkies. Most are extremely smart too. At least the ones I've known.

I wanted one but my DH's sister had a mean one. To me, there's a reason it became mean. So he's phobic about them. Such a shame.

Agreed. I had a male flame-point, and he was so loving and silly. My dearest friend has a Turkish Angora, and I helped her "tame" the cat. I think those with snooty orientals don't know how to handle cats. My favorite "breed" is the Main Coon, but the orientals are delightful too.
