I've started to experience stress incontinence whenever I cough, sneeze or laugh. I went to pelvic floor physical therapy for a couple of months but haven't had much progress. Today, I discussed Bulkamid with my urogynecologist. It's a procedure that adds bulk to your urethra to tighten it. It's suppose to last 7 to 10 years. No lasting side effects. Has anyone here had it or know anyone who has? Would like to hear first hand experiences. TIA, Starr

@Starpolisher

It sounds like the procedure my friend had last month. She heard about it from a friend of hers. They both had injections to tighten the muscles and urethra. It was an outpatient procedure. It worked well for her friend. She said it improved the quality of her life immensely. Unfortunately, it did not solve my friend's issue. If you decide to try it, I hope it works for you.

I haven't had the procedure but it was done frequently by urologists at the hospital I recently retired from.  It's a minimally invasive outpatient procedure with local anesthesia.

Recently, I was hearing radio ads for some sort of chair you would sit in and it would zap you to help with those problems.  I think it took a couple of sessions and I don't think zap is the correct term, just the one I can thing of.  Haven't heard the ad lately though.  I could use some help in that arena.  Kegleing ain't working.
