Bronchoscopy - I'm scared!

Anyone have one of these? I'm scheduled for one and I must say I'm scared - not only of the procedure but of the outcome. Do they knock you out for this or are you totally aware? I am a very gaggy person and am terrified I will flip out out having something around my mouth and going down my throat. Plus, I currently have a cold and am coughing and my throat is already a little sore. Should I call and try to have this re-scheduled? I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about this!!! Thanks!
