Broken/shattered ankle and plate+screws surgery

Hi everybody, I seriously broke/dislocated/shattered my ankle June4 and had plate and screws repair surgery June 12-anyone else have experience with this? My general health and fitness is pretty good,I just turned 54-I am getting really discouraged and kinda depressed about how laid up I still am-any upright moving (on crutches,or even sitting without my leg elevated causes swelling that is painful etc, which means I have to lay down again elevating my leg and I can't get ANYTHING done.
