I don't know any more. I'm getting older and what used to feel good and work for me, seems like it no longer applies. So, I guess I am trying to find what will be better for me now.
@AngelPuppy1 @i'm older too, and as i go along, i just observe how my body feels, and if i feel kinda off, then i try to research remedies. it also helps to exercise as much as your body allows. good luck. i hope you find things that make you feel your best.

I have heard this on various t.v. shows recently. I'm sorry but I cannot remember names of people who were discussing it.

What do I believe? None of it, for me personally. I eat what I think is best for me and at any time of the day or night. I have never in my life counted calories. Food choices and amounts were/are more important to me.Never believed in 3 meals a day and have never ate that way, through my fat years/thin years, and my choice of weight years.
I believe in "grazing", which is eating nutritious food(for me) and never eating more than my body needs to function at it's highest and most efficient levels. Right now and for the best part of 2 years, I have and feel just GREAT! What more could a person want for themselves!

So did I, and years of 4-Midnight. Never changed the way or time of day that I ate it what I ate/eat. I never was or have never been a 3 meal believer. Makes little sense to me and it never has, including today.

I wake up about 4AM....I have hot unsweetened almond mild with organic coffee and Medicinal mushrooms in it. That is all....no FOOD all day until my dinner at 4PM. Just my almond milk....I take herbs throughout the day and drink lots of water and drink hot tea.
this works for me. I am going on 65. I feel better NOT digesting food all day while I am busy. I have no issues with blood sugar or any medical issues. I am not a triathlon athlete....no need for lots of food.
Wow! How do you do it? You must be very thin. I could never do that. Don't you get hungry when you are doing a lot work, such as housework, yard work, etc?
@AngelPuppy1 No, just average weight for height. I am not doing this for weight loss etc.... I have been doing this for so long it is just normal for me.
As I said... I do drink almond milk unsweetened heat up and add mushrooms and also take supplements throughout the day, so it really is not going without food. Almond milk is a food of sorts.....
I just feel better and have more energy without digesting meals all day. Years ago when I ate food during the day, I got gassy and had digestion issues and that did not work well when doing retail sales... thus I decided to stop eating solid food during the day. and find ways to still nourish my body.....
This may not be for everyone... but, it works for ME. My dinner is very balanced and only healthy foods..salad...salmon... qunioa... etc. I have been eating this way for going on 25 years now.

@BlueFinch wrote:Yeah, 'they' say we're better off starting our day with a good breakfast. It's supposed to satiate enough, that we're less likely to overeat throughout the rest of the day. And, if we eat lighter afterwards, we've ample time to burn it off. Yada, yada.
Wrong! For me, at least. I LOVE breakfast, but for some reason, when I take time to eat it, I'm hungrier the entire day, consuming too many calories. The minute I put my plate away, I'm plotting lunch. I don't normally do that.
I do best with just coffee with a little creamer for breakfast, then a substantial afternoon lunch, with a light bedtime snack.
@BlueFinchthis is how I am too. If I eat a big breakfast, it just sets me off for eating my way through the entire day.
