Bought a FitBit Charge at Costco today.

Trying to figure it out. Use to have a regular fitbit but it died on me. And it went through batteries like crazy. This one has a rechargable battery. Does anyone have this model? What do you think about it?

I have the Fitbit Charge from Costco too and have been using it for about nine months.    I charge it for a couple hours (or overnight) every 5-6 days.  I ABSOLUTELY love it!

Not only love my FitBit Charge HR (hubby has one too) but the customer service is second to none.  If you are experiencing any problem, have any question call them.

Re: Bought a FitBit Charge at Costco today.

I planned on buying a fitbit charge this year.  I have a flex and it works fine, but I'm fearful of losing it.  I lost it once and fitbit replaced it.  For Christmas my sister bought me a Garmin vivo.  It serves the same purpose.  I only use it to monitor my steps.

Re: Bought a FitBit Charge at Costco today.

I bought a Fitbit Flex from QVC last Christmas season and over the year became quite attached to it, always striving to hit the 10K steps.  It helped me keep fit!  Then, I lost it on a trip to San Francisco last week and according to my last sync it was somewhere near Sausalito.  I searched but no luck.  That night I called Fitbit CS and spoke with a lady who was no help at all except to offer a 25% discount on a new one.  She had a heavy accent and seemed to reading a script.  I have called Fitbit CS other times and they' ve been very helpful, so I was disappointed that she didn't even have any tips on finding it (via signal) or sending another tracker (I have heard of them doing that for others....since I don't need bracelets, charger or anything else).

So, my husband said to order another one for Valentine's Day.  I ordered it from Costco since it was basically the same price as their discounted offer.  I got another Flex since I have several of the rubber bracelets and also a Tory Burch one for dress up.  Now, looking at my sadly bare wrist and waiting for it to come!!

I have seriously considered getting one of these to keep up with my activities at the gym and also since I've gotten back into hiking.  Glad to hear you guys like it.

UPDATE

I decided to wear the Charge HR on my ankle rather than on arm during the day. When I am on my walk I will transfer it to my wrist and again when I go to bed I will transfer it to my wrist from ankle.

I think that when I am in house and doing chores etc, the arm movements say doing dishes and my legs not moving or siting watching TV without steping and the Charge  on my wrist will give less of an acurate count. On my ankle seems to be more accuate in house.

I would recomment that if you want to apply it to your ankle to buy the size large strap. I bought the small which  the strap is too short for my ankle.... SO  just place  the Charger under my support knee high stockings on my ankle  that I wear all day long.  It holds the charger against my skin, and plus  it is safe from not falling off.

@SeaMaiden That is beyond clever!  If I make the purchase I will definitely do that.  I may look like a parolee at work after boot season but that's a fantastic idea!

@GCR18  How do you like the Garmin Vivo.  I went to purchase the Fitbit Charge this past week when it was on sale at Target and at 2 different stores they said they get returns on them constantly and they have been having recalls on them for inaccurate informaiton. He tried to talk me into the Garmin, which I didnt purchase.

@MrsCat21 I like the vivo because it shows me the number of steps on the display.  My flex showed a dot when for every 2000 steps, which you can adjust.  The vivo is bigger than the flex and a harder plastic.  The flex was smaller and a softer plastic.  I'm use to the vivo now, so it doesn't bother me.  My sister got it at BJs for $49.  It's a vivo1 and came with 4 bands.  I guess the new model is the vivo2.  No fear of losing it compared to the flex.  It also has a watch battery that lasts a year.  I had to charge my flex every five days.
