@Icegoddess& @hckynut JUST WOW is all I can say LOL! Love that you both are skating!!!
I also need to get back to taking the bamboo silica supplement! I did for awhile and then stopped...I got side tracked and the last several months I have stopped taking the few supplements I was.
This topic has helped put me back on track for 2020!!

WHat is a good brand of bamboo extract? I see Amazon has many different kinds.

@Icegoddess thank you so much for reporting back! I bought the Bulk Supplements bamboo powder that I had seen recommended here, maybe six months ago?
However I've been lackadaisical about taking it every day - only 2 or 3X weekly. I'll make it a daily habit for sure! Congratulations.

When I took Bamboo, I took Swanson brand from their website, 2 caps a day. I stopped after 7 mos because I saw no change in my thinning hair.

I took Foxamax for 2 years, hated it.
Started taking a combo gel cap of calcium / magnesium and am now within normal range!
Wow! I used to dance- skate on roller skates - But, ON ICE
no way. Thus your nick-name.
Congrats on your improvement,

My doctor said bone density peaks between 35-40 years old. After that its all downhill. Sad.

@Reever I don't accept blanket statements like that. My gynocologist said women lose muscle after menopause. Just made me work out harder to prove her wrong. At the very least I'm maintaining. BTW, I'm 61. If your doctor's statement was correct, I would not have been able to raise my bone density level from osteopenia to normal.

That's wonderful! YOu are a inspiration @Icegoddess ....I was told I am osteopenia and hoping that thur supplements/diet and working out I can hold on to what I have and build more if possible. Thank you for sharing your journey it helps others to NOT give up
and think it's all downhill.

I'm 64 and I, too, experienced a higher bone density number after it went down. BD does not always go downhill when you get older...that is not true at all. I'm proof of that.![]()
