At the beginning of each year, I get something new by way of exercise equipment to start the new year and get motivated. The last two years I've gotten the Bodyblade and Marie's Exercise Bar. I love them both and am still using both of them with very good results.
However, this year I haven't gotten anything. I am asking to see if anybody has gotten anything lately in the way of exercise equipment with good results? I'd love to try something new. I'm interested mostly in upper-body strength as I have cardio covered.

While I've had both of these for several years, I love and use both the Wonder Core and Spin Gym. I was sceptical of both but use them all the time. I can use the spin gym just sitting down watching tv. I also have used body blades for over 20 years steady and got the exercise bar last year. All of these were great when I had knee surgery last year.

I just used Marie's BodyGym a little while ago and it really works well. I also have the Wonder Core from HSN and love them both. The Wonder Core is small and works your core, legs, and arms in a different way than Marie's.
You can set the resistance you want also. I do my cardio on Tony Little's Gazelle as I can work my arms and legs at the same time and go at a fast or slow pace as I want. I sold my Total Gym as I use these more. I hadn't used my BodyGym in a few weeks and I really felt it working today. Neither of these take up much room. My heart doctor wants me to do 30 minutes of cardio 4 times a week when I can. I have A-Fib and doing so on the Gazelle helps me.
I just tell my Alexa to play my Oldies Station on Pandora and set a timer for
30 minutes. I work out until the timer is done. The time goes by quickly than just getting on the Gazelle with no music. I can tell Alexa to skip a song or turn up and down without stopping my workout.

Hi, @Pook. That's funny -- I also got the Spin Gym, and I had to return it. I just couldn't get it working for me. I wonder if you found better results with the Spin Gym than you do with the Bodyblade.
With both the exercise bar and the Bodyblade, I have good results except not so good for the underarm. That's a tough spot.
Hope your knee surgery was successful.

Thanks, @MKR14. I'm going to go over to HSN and take a look at the Wonder Core. Haven't seen that, yet.
I've got a treadmill for my cardio. Although many don't like a treadmill, I do two miles daily while I watch the evening news. While others get bored with the treadmill, I've used mine for over twenty years. Not the same one. Whereas outside is not always convenient, you can always find some time for the treadmill, even splitting up the time.
I've seen Tony on the Gazelle; it looks like a good workout.
Surprisingly, Marie's exercise bar is a very good workout and TOUGH. I'm always working on upper-body strength.
Thanks again, @MKR14.

The Chair Gym and the Nano Gym have been in my radar lately. Both are for strength training and have varying degrees of resistance. But right now I am using the simple free resistance bands, the ones with handles on each end and I have had very good results with them. I'm not sure if the chair-style with bands could give me a better workout. In any case, IMO resistance bands are the best and cheapest way to maintain muscle.

@febe1 Thanks. I like to mix mine up as being 67 years old. I try to get the most I can in each workout. My husband likes treadmills but I like the Gazelle better for walking. It has awesome DVD's with it.
@SilleeMee I have the Nano Gym I bought on Evine Shopping Network and use it also. It is very sturdy and I purchased extra cords so if I wore them out I would have them. You would laugh as I never have gotten to only the beginning grey cord as they are so sturdy. Probably will never need them. I really feel the burn the next day after using it. The top handles detach and you can hook them for arm exercises at the bottom also. @Gokat on the forum also has it. Just as I got mine and used it I had health issues and was in the hospital. I am doing well now and getting back the last month into an exercise routine. The Nano Gym I have had the foot rest part included. It makes it more sturdy. They do sell it separately also. They run out of stock a lot as it is so popular. A hint for the foot straps for anyone buying it is to watch the video and they stay on tight and really work your legs when secured correctly. They have to go through the "loop" in the strap first and then hook the Velcro. It doesn't take up much room and it has a swivel seat that you also can tighten. Good luck to all.

Thank you for your excellent review of the Nano Gym @MKR14. I'm still thinking of getting one someday soon. It's sold out now on evine, but I'm sure it will be back. Maybe get one with my tax return this year.

@SilleeMee If I see it available again I will post a New Message Thread called
"Nano Gym available again" so you will see it. I like to give honest feedback so someone doesn't get stuck buying junk. I actually made up an Exercise Chart with days of the week Sunday-Saturday by a week each and printed them out. I log in my exercises and time and calories burned on them each day. It keeps me on track as I never remember what day I did what. Then I log in what I eat on the
My Fitness App and it is helping me. I am retired so I have the time to do it to keep me accountable for being lazy. I feel better already and lost 12 pounds. Only 3 more pounds to go.

Congrats to you on the weight loss @MKR14 Yes, it would be wonderful to see you post about incoming Nano Gyms. Occasionally I will peek over there to see if any came in. So with both of us looking, I surely can't miss it!
