Re: Bland tasteing food for the sick

My late mom loved applesauce, plain yogurt & vanilla pudding.

You're in my prayers.

Milkshakes are sometimes a big hit.

There are some very good suggestions given.  Best wishes.

Ensure/Boost high calorie drinks are good if you need to get more calories into him.  Look at Nestle and Hormel.

Re: Bland tasteing food for the sick

So many great suggestions already mentioned. I would add Premier Protein vanilla shakes, vanilla pudding, potatoes in almost any form ( mashed, baked, boiled). Bananas, egg custard, pedialyte pops if not too sweet-tasting, rice pudding, Stouffers corn soufflé ( convenient and quick when you need it to be) , corn pudding. You can add a mild-flavored frozen fruit like banana or peach to the shake and it will thicken it up to milkshake status and add some calories and more nutrition. Prayers for you and your DH. If he can have and wants more solid things, oyster crackers is what my mom liked. I would put  some in a cup and she would snack on them.
