I'm scheduled to have both knees replaced Oct. 3. Anyone have both done at once? What was your experience?

I'm not afraid of surgery - have had several major surgeries, but I'm quite anxious about the recovery from this one . . . something about having both legs chopped apart scares me plus all the infections people are picking up in hospitals. But I've been needing them done for 10 years and this is the first doctor I've found willing to do them since I'm "too fat." If I don't have them done, I'll be pretty must restricted to sitting for the rest of my life and then the rest of my health will continue to deteriorate.

I guess I could just use some encouragement from anyone who has had it done. Thanks.
