@SeaMaiden It sounds like you eat every other day, and have the almond milk on the day in between. Is that correct? I was wondering, on the day that you do eat, do you only eat dinner? Or do you have something to eat earlier in the day? Also, do you find it better to heat the almond milk, rather than drinking it cool?
I would like to lose about 20 pounds, but I have some health and back problems that keep me from going out to walk anymore.
Hope you don't mind my questions. I just think that controlling my eating in a different way could be the answer for me now.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

@Quantum I also have been unable to exercise or walk for weight control. I have lost 17 lbs and still striving for more. I accomplished it by totally controlling what I ate and how much. I am eating a lot of vegetables and salads, some chicken (breasts ). Strange thing: I never liked vegetables or salads, and now i actually look forward to them. Maybe because I know they will bring results and I am steadfast in my food choices now. Good luck and hope you do well.

@Quantum Hello! This is what works for me.
I heat up unsweetened vanilla almond milk on the stove in a pot...I add water to it....I add some instant coffee in my cup in the morning only- both regular and I also use decafe)
and then sweeten with vanilla flavored liquid stevia and also monk fruit.
I do not eat any solid food until my dinner on the second day, usually about 3:30pm in the afternoon. I do take a variety of supplements throughout the day so I am also getting some nutrients along with my almond milk.
I like to eat earlier as to not go to bed with a full stomach. Yes, I am hungry by the second day....but without feeling real hunger, I do not think you are burning the fat that you want your body to use as fuel.
The reason I say" this is only what I do", and do not push it for anyone else is that I have no health issues at all, thankfully, so my body does fine with less calories while trying to lose to my goal weight. Once I am where I want to be( about 130 LBS) I will go on a maintenance plan of some sort and only fast maybe every two days.
It is kind of a work in progress!😄 I weighed in at 134.5 LBS today...my final goal now is 130 LBS. I started out at about 147LBS in May so, it has been a slow constant weight loss...not dramatic.

I find the worse part of losing weight is that my shoes do not fit the same! Many had to be discarded!

@SeaMaiden Instead of fasting, I have oatmeal days with blueberries, good for many reasons, though not everyone likes it, much better with blueberries, but it is true that one can gain weight even by eating healthy.
On days when I am doing heavy duty garden activities, I can eat a little more and still lose weight, but the older one gets, the more difficult it is for weight to fall off. Smaller portions is the key, and water, for me.
