Belly Fat Cure 101: beginners thread

thank you to those of you who have been so helpful on the other Belly fat Cure threads. I wanted to start this one for beginners to come and ask for advice about how to get started. I have ordered but not yet received the Belly Fat Cure Fast Track and the Carb counter books. so, as one who has to get my mind "set" to start a program like this, I have a few questions about things I anticipate I'll be having to make decisions about:

fruit- please advise about which fruits are allowable. my favorite fruits are apples, grapes and clementines. how do these fruits rank on this plan?

nuts- are all nuts allowed? if not, which ones are OK?

grains/bread- I have read about Ezekial 4:9 bread. do any of you on the program use it? what other kinds of bread work on the plan? what about cereals? is oatmeal allowed?
