Re: Autoimmune disorders - Dr. Brooke Goldner

@sidsmom If you feel like sharing I would love to hear your thoughts on Dr. Goldner's opinion on consuming 1/2 cup of chia or flax seeds daily to lose fat, as well as eating a whole avocado.  She insisted these foods cannot make you fat, and will make you lose fat.

I was was really pumped after last night's webinar!  I got back to drinking green smoothies today!

Anyone else is welcome to share their thoughts as well.  😊

Re: Autoimmune disorders - Dr. Brooke Goldner

@BExplorer

I love enthusiastic response! Change is good!

Yes, I listen...even though it’s not something I subscribe to,

it’s important to keep an open mind. I DO consume chia/flax

(serving size: 2T) with my oatmeal every day, so it’s not

totally new for me to have these overt fats on a daily basis.

Many of the PB doctors, there will be a high intake of vegetables.

Dr. Esselstyn asks his patients to consume 6 cooked handfuls

of  greens for heart health.  Dr. McDougall will say 50/50 plate

of greens/starches for weight loss.  Dr. Furhman will suggest

his G-BOMBS for health.

I believe it’s the removal of animal products/oil/processed foods

pairing w/ higher intake of veggies/water which are helping the most...

not so much the intake/increase of O3s or other overt fats,

like avocado which makes the successful transformations (IMO).

I’ll be anxious to hear tomorrow’s call. Hopefully it will be a

marathon Q&A, like TH!  That was amazing she spent

sooo much time answering questions. 💚 In fact, I’m planning

to make my smoothie & hunker down & listen to TH’s replay

this afternoon.😉

Re: Autoimmune disorders - Dr. Brooke Goldner

Thanks so much for sharing your perspective @sidsmom !  The high intake of chia seeds/flax seeds/avocado did seem a little counterintuitive to me but I know there's a lot I don't know.  I am always interested in hearing what works well for others. 😊

I thought Sunday's presentation was great as well!!  What'd you think?

And, she stayed on for a total of 5.5 hours making sure everyone's questions were answered!  Replays will be sent out just like she did for the other 2 presentations.

@Julie_23

Wow!

No...I didn’t listen to the Q&A. I fell asleep around 10 thinking I’ll listen

to the replay. 5 HOURS? Amazing. That will definitely fill my afternoon

today! Ha,  Granted, there was more ‘advertising’ in the last sessions

but the testimonies where inspiring.

What was the best thing you got out of this series?

Hi @sidsmom - I was thinking the same thing of the advertising mentions being a bit more in this one.  But, on the whole, I think it was powerful showing so many success stories.  I like though how she makes a point of saying the protocol is the same whether people decide to work with her or not.  The information on how to do it is free.

My biggest take-a-away?  It was a nice reminder of the power of nutrition and the body's healing capability.  I also like how she mentioned things like sleep being important, along with emotions.  She did a better job explaining it than I'm doing here.  Smiley Happy. But, I think you'll know what I mean after watching it.  On a side note, I was floored by how she spent so much time answering questions.  I thought that was great of her!

What'd you think?

I've seen this doctor on a show (Hallmark's Home and Family) a few years ago.  She is amazing.

I follow a vegan diet and try to follow a vegan lifestyle when ever possible.

Thanks to you @Julie_23 , I believe you are the one who suggestion Queork handbags and accessories and I have now purchased many.  No leather/suede handbags for me!

Re: Autoimmune disorders - Dr. Brooke Goldner

I guess if you are sick enough you will try anything, it's sticking with a plant based diet for life that is difficult to do. I think that's why some docs roll their eyes when patients say they are going to follow a plant based diet. I know I was on it for awhile and all my lab work was very low, like I had no good or bad cholesterol. My doc asked me if I'd had enough yet.LOL I still am not much of a meat eater, but I eat everything, but not much of it. My lab work is normal and I don't look like a skinny old lady. I checked out the doctor and I like what she's pushing.

@Julie_23

I’m so happy you made the initial reminder of this series.

Since it’s not very often, I would’ve missed it if not for you.🌸

Yes, I loved all 3 classes.

And the fact she answered every single question, even one

that I had, made it very personalized..she has my respect!

Some of my take-aways were...I need to drink way more water,

grind my chia seeds & consume my O3s throughout the day

instead of one sitting (on my oatmeal or in my smoothie).

I’m also really interested in learning more about the O3 pathways.

Webinar Pro Tip:

I played Class 2 on my iPad & recorded segments on my iPhone

for future reference (I do that with many of the webinars...

the bits & pieces I want to really understand). Her explanation of

the O3 pathways has already have me poking around for more info.

@BExplorer

What did your daughter think? And what did YOU think?

@Lucky Charm

I watched the segment w/ Dr. G on YouTube!

Sophie Uliano (on the show) did a couple videos w/ Dr. G

on her YT channel talking about:

Dr. Goldner’s story reversing lupus

https://youtu.be/okThbAAS4pY

How to make the healing smoothie

https://youtu.be/u65G1E8uHVU

With summer quickly approaching & farmer markets in full swing,

this is the perfect time to really begin to incorporate some/all

her recommendations.
