Asthma help - have gone from seasonal to all of the time

Hi ladies,

Well, I've progressed from seasonal asthma attacks to all year round asthma. Well, I was not Symbicort compliant, and was just relying on the Albuterol, when I couldn't breathe, which has only happened during allergy season.

My Primary Care told me, yesterday, that I had to start using the Symbicort so that I could avoid depending on the Albuterol for emergencies.

I've never smoked, but did have a paternal grandfather, who had bad asthma. Dr. Kwon says asthma can be a familial problem, so I'd likely inherited this tendancy.

Any information about how to treat this condition - naturally - would be very much appreciated.

Also, Dr. Kwon told me that there was a great deal of information on the web. Problem is, sometimes what Ive read on the web - about medical issues - has scared me.

If anyone knows of a site that provides helpful information for the layperson, please post that info.
