@bargainsgirl   I take tylenol extra strenght at bedtime for my pain in my left knee and both shoulders. The knee hs 3 bone spurs that kill me when I lay down, and my shoulders on and off but they're both back on now.

I've done cortesone shots in both shoulders but not at the same time. I really need to see my PCP for more shots.

I am in my 70s and have arthritis everywhere. I stick with Tylenol. If it's really painful at bedtime, I'll take Aleve so it works through the night.

I wear support sleeves when my ankles and knees act up.

I found little support sleeves for my thumb joints. it slips on and isn't as bulky as so many wrist and hand braces. It's just enough for daytime. When it is really bad, I wear a regular brace overnight.

I find that resistance training/yoga/walking helps keep my knees, ankles, and hips functioning better.

I'm afraid to stop using my hands for fear they'll get worse.

My rule:  If it hurts, slow down or back off a little from whatever I'm doing. Otherwise, I'm going to stay active.

I take one naproxen sodium (Aleve generic) and that usually works.

I need to be very careful taking OTC pain relievers as my RA meds impact liver and kidney functions. But I have found that Blue Emu topical creme and Montkush CBD both help my major pain which is in my hands. For what it's worth...

I can't take anything with aspirin because I'm on blood thinners. Tylenol doesn't really help + I'd need several and that's not good for your liver. Somethings I'd like to try either can't take because of the blood thinners or doesn't work with blood pressure meds. I spray on Icy Hot pro for temporary relief. Also, use heating pad.

For me ibuprofen works better and faster on pain than does acetaminophen but ibuprofen interferes with my BP med so I have to limit taking it. My doc said it's okay to alternate between the two.

Dual-action Advil contains two OTC pain relievers, recommended by my dentist for pain relief during tooth abscess.

Deep blue essential oil blend I rub a couple drops of this from my palms onto wrists and fingers.

These might not be safe for some. The Deep Blue is used by athletes, but that doesn't necessarily make it safe. However, for me it takes care of so much pain.

I use Stopain Roll On on my knee, but I do take lots of supps that are recommended for joint health, I think they help to get me by. I have also used Meloxicam, my ortho doc is highly in favor of trying Meloxicam. It is a heavy duty NSAID. Many use Voltaren orally or as a topical, but I have shyed away from it.

I take Voltaren, it's a rub in gel.  There are generics out there, just as good.  It's the only thing that helps me.
