What do you take for arthritis pain?  So far Tylenol (regular) seems to work better than Advil for me.

Meloxicam.  You need a prescription.

It works pretty well for me but I try not to use it everyday.  Like many drugs there can be side effects.

I keep a heating pad plugged in by the bed.  It helps me get to sleep.

Naproxen Sodium (2) that says "for back and muscle pain'

they also make a PM version that you take at night

same naproxen just adds diphenhydramine to the pill.

I' m gonna try to get by with OTC stuff don't want the

prescription route.  Run hot water over my hands in the morning to get them 'thawed out' LOL

Like Voltarin creme too (walmart) I saw something called

Austrailian Dream last night on Tv gonna go looking for that. Some kind of rub on creme.

I take Aleve. One if it's just normal pain, two if it's really bad. But then I don't have to take anything else for the rest of the day. I also don't take it every day.

Mine improved when I changed my diet.  I also take a high DHA fish oil supplement  and a hyaluronic acid supplement.  I get regular massages too.  Due to having a kidney removed, I'm unable to take any kind of NSAIDS or ibuprofen.  I can only take Tylenol for pain and usually only do that when I get a headache.  I don't take any OTC meds for arthritis.

Ibuprofen worked for me but after my Afib diagnosis, I was told not to take it.  I'm on a blood thinner so I can't take aspirin.  I can only take Tylenol which helps somewhat.  Not a lot.  So I get steroid injections in my knee every 4 months.  I stay active.  I walk.  I use my vibration platform.  I do chair yoga.  Staying active helps with pain.

I can't take this one at all.  I don't feel well and my blood pressure skyrocketed.  It has a lot of negative side effects, at least for me.  I'll never get an RX for it again.

Re: Arthritis remedies

[ Edited ]

I have arthritis in my left shoulder joint, creams or roll ons never used to work for me, saw this at CVS when it was on sale, it's been working for me, maybe it's the Lidocaine in it, been using it for over a year now twice daily when needed.Aspercreme Lidocaine with No Mess Applicator - 2.5 fl oz, 1 of 14

Exedrin works best for me for arthritis and headaches.    It's helpful if you can take something with aspirin in it as it's an anti inflammatory and that makes all the difference.
